Work Schedule: M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm Rate of Pay: This position is a grade 217 with a minimum of $97,339 and a mid-point of $129,785. Salary offer will be commensurate with the education/experience, in alignment with the College's compensation philosophy, and the current CBA, if applicable. FLSA Status: Exempt Grant Funded: No Job Summary: An employee in this classification performs work of considerable difficulty managing and leading staff and activities related to the maintenance, enhancement, and integration of enterprise applications, including administrative systems, databases, and web applications, whether on-premise, in-cloud, or hybrid. The Senior Director also serves as a project manager for department-specific projects and collaborates with other project managers to ensure successful project completion. Additionally, this position oversees the department's work to ensure efficiency and high customer service, supporting the strategic goals of the IT department, functional departments, and the College, while fostering a collaborative environment. General direction is received from assigned manager. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or related field. PMP Certification from PMI. 7+ years managing IT staff, preferably in enterprise systems and applications. 7+ years managing multiple complex technical projects. Knowledge of higher education enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, etc.). Experience with programming languages and relational databases. Proficiency in PMBOK and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall). Knowledge of IT infrastructure, server, networking, and computer technologies. Experience with help desk and project management tools (preferably Jira). Experience managing projects with external contractors, consultants, or vendors. Experience in higher education, understanding its unique needs and challenges. Strong diagnostic, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to make informed, flexible decisions quickly Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Master's degree Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague Essential Duties: Oversees system integrations across all college departments, including HR, TLSD, Institutional Research, Business and Finance, Marketing, Institutional Advancement, and IT. Collaborates closely with analyst departments, providing leadership and mentorship to streamline and automate processes. Manages project priorities, maintenance tasks, and deadlines, and provides timely feedback through various communication channels. Leads and directs the application development team's tasks and priorities as project manager. Troubleshoots complex issues, ensuring prompt resolution while considering system-wide impacts. Establishes standards for processing system updates, reviews patches and upgrades, coordinates necessary work, identifies risks, and monitors installations. Ensures testing plans are in place for cloud-based systems to prevent usage impacts and addresses any issues promptly. Represents IT on internal committees, contributes to strategic discussions, and provides expertise on IT systems and applications. Participates in non-IT hiring committees for administrative positions as needed Other Duties: Performs other job-related duties as assigned which pertain to the job description. Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes days/evenings/weekends as needed by the department.
