Financial Analyst

We are helping a well-respected medical device company fill an immediate temporary opening for a Financial Analyst. This contract role is expected to last 3-4 months and will primarily focus on operating expenses, covering a key gap in the workflow while an employee is on leave. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Corporate FP&A team at a leading organization in the industry, with the potential for broad exposure to financial planning and reporting processes. Key Responsibilities: Analyze financial performance by comparing actual results against plans and forecasts, with a primary focus on operating expenses (OpEx) Produce operational metric reports and identify key trends, risks, and opportunities Assist in the development of forecasts and plans for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Quarterly Operating Review (QOR) Identify opportunities for process improvements, including creating standard and ad-hoc reports using Microsoft Power BI and Adaptive Insights Collaborate with international subsidiaries to provide monthly qualitative analysis and support quarterly review meetings Contribute to productivity enhancements through automated reporting and forecasting tools Prepare financial presentations for leadership, supporting decision-making and strategy Perform profitability analysis for major sales opportunities Provide support for monthly close processes and other ad-hoc reporting as needed Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis or similar roles Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and financial modeling Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill large data sets into actionable insights Familiarity with SAP (priority), Adaptive Insights (preferred), and Power BI Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex information clearly
