POSITION: Senior Data Analyst LOCATION: Northern Virginia STATUS: Full time - Contingent Hire CLEARANCE: Active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET Clearance or ability to obtain one. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Math, Business Administration, or other related field. Experience: Five (5) years of professional experience providing data analysis and reporting support. One (1) year of experience supporting a DoD SBIR/STTR Program Office with data analytics and reporting. Citizenship: US. Citizen. Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% to support client meetings and requirements. Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office products; Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to explain highly technical subject matter to decision makers in a time-constrained environment. Ability to work independently or with a team. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Client Familiarity: Familiarity with the Department of Defense and SBIR/STTR programs. Preferred Training: SQL or non-SQL databases and APIs. PRIMARY DUTIES: Provide assistance with importing, exporting, and extracting data from internal and external databases. Lead establishing, developing, publishing, and implementing standard operating procedures, checklists, and plans required to ensure the reliability and fidelity of the SBIR/STTR process. Perform quality control procedures to ensure reliability and integrity of data. Execute budget preparation, execution, and tracking, financial management, analysis, and reporting. Provide support with software engineering, social media analytics, business analysis, and other data-centered domains. Work with SQL or non-SQL databases and with using web service Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Responsible for translating statistical data into useful information for decision making.
