Job Overview: Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a FT 7:30am - 4pm Monday - Friday (40 hours per week) Medical Assistant in our Outpatient Clinic. Responsibilities: The Certified Medical Assistant assists in rooming patients, taking vital signs, measurements, preparation of exam rooms, stocking supplies, assisting the physician, interacting with other departments and documentation in the electronic medical record. The Medical Assistant works with and under the direction of the RN. Qualifications: Education High School Diploma / GED Certification/Licensure Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 6 months of hire. Experience Outpatient Clinic, Orthopaedic and cast background preferred.
