We have opportunities available for individuals who have a passion to make a difference in the lives of our patients Housekeeper Silver Hill Hospital has a Full-Time opportunity for a Housekeeper who will assist with cleaning & maintaining the public and patient areas of the hospital buildings. The shift is from 6:30AM to 3:00PM, working a 40-hour schedule each week. Environmental Services Associates work every third weekend and every other holiday, with comparable time off before and after weekend worked. Duties/Responsibilities: Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout assigned property. Uses cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies. Cleans and disinfects bathrooms. Cleans and disinfects kitchen, dining, rooms and offices. Vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes. Removes linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets. Places and neatly tucks clean sheets and blankets on beds and replaces pillowcases. Stocks towels, washcloths, and hand towels in bathrooms. Picks up and empties trash containers. Loads washers and dryers and folds sheets and towels in laundry room as needed. Notifies maintenance if something is not working properly. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Detail-oriented and thorough. Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of residents, tenants, and/or guests. Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English/Spanish to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously. Education and Experience: Education sufficient to read, write, and speak as needed for the job. Previous experience in a housekeeping department in a healthcare or hospitality setting Experience cleaning patient rooms, kitchens & public areas Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds at times.
