Principal Objective Under the direction of the Director of Business Automation & Reporting, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining standard and ad-hoc reports that serve the needs of the business units/users within the corporation. A major initiative for this position will be to expand the use of reporting and assist in developing and implementing dashboards as well as supporting the reporting requirements for all non-core or internal systems that the group currently supports. In addition, this role will work closely with various business units to understand their process inefficiencies and develop workflows to streamline those processes. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Be a SME on the data, data structure and processes surrounding data flow within Jack Henry (Silverlake, jhaKnow and Cognos) products or similar core application/system experience. Develop, test, and validate standard reports within standard programming and report design practices based on business requirements of business unit or user. Responsible for testing and documenting all new upgrades/patches to jhaKnow. Perform a validation function for any new enhancements or functionality to jhaKnow or Cognos (i.e. cubes, new reports). Work in collaboration with the other team members to support existing and new workflow initiatives. Assist Business Units in improving certain operational tasks to gain efficiencies using the tools we have. Support existing Access databases and modify when necessary. Responsible for the month-end closing process in conjunction with Corporate Finance and Corporate Credit for the consolidate loan trial balance, consolidated investment trial balance, as well as producing other required month-end reports. Maintain and update when necessary procedures for each. Work with all areas to resolve data issues and identifying root causes. Participate in user group forums and knowledge transfer sessions. Perform ad hoc reporting as needed. Job Specifications (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required) Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or related fields. Five (5) or more years of prior experience in using SQL Reporter, Report Builder, Cognos or similar report writing tools required. Understanding of relational databases, preferably SQL Server. Intermediate to advanced experience with all Microsoft office applications, particularly Excel and PowerBI. Three (3) or more years of prior experience working in the financial services industry. Ability and willingness to work independently as well as in a team. Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong written and oral communication skills.
