Position Description At a Glance Focal Point is looking for aQuotes Managerto join our exciting and dynamic Customer Service team in Chicago, IL. The Quotes Manager is responsible for managing and growing an existing portfolio of key Agents to maximize Focal Point's revenue goals. Under general direction conducts business to business sales contacting leads and existing customers to produce and deliver accurate and efficient quotations. Works closely with the Regional Sales Managers and collaborates across all departments. This person develops and maintains relationships with new and existing customers to create and deliver accurate quotations in line with customer and business expectations. This position reports to the Inside Sales Manager. Roles & Responsibilities Develop proposal quotations in response to RFPs in response from prospective clients Analyze cost estimates and prepare different scenarios to offer a profitable bid utilizing product knowledge in conjunction with customer requirements to analyze Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to ensure accurate estimates on materials and resources and the quote maximizes the business opportunities Conduct a competitive pricing analysis to make recommendations regarding pricing and ensuring the business remains competitive with the market Maintain relationships with vendors to secure pricing to maximize the organization's profitability Present the best available scenarios to management and to provide input and insight on the best bid to close the sale Proactively interact with customers to ensure proposal meets their needs and actively finalize Works closely with sales representatives Continually works with existing customers to increase the sales of the organization's products Qualifications Competencies Competitive drive Persistence and perseverance Assertiveness Analytical mind Strong interpersonal skills Qualifications 3-5 years' experience in estimating, process planning or similar position College degree preferred or equivalent experience Experience on lighting industry is strongly preferred Computer literate on MS Office Suite and JD Edwards (JDE preferred) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Outstanding communications skills (verbal and orally) to work at different levels The Company: For more than 25 years, Focal Point, a brand of Legrand, has brought it all to light with beautiful, efficient luminaires and acoustic solutions that stand the test of time, human-centric technology, and a commitment to being easy to do business with.
