Ontic's Creedmoor, NC, site is home to a number of specialist companies within the Ontic Group, including Firstmark, Twin Commander, and Metro Merlin. With over 1,300 employees across four time zones and seven sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace. Our team is looking for a Business Development Manager to join them. You will report to the Senior Business Development Director and will have an onsite work structure in Creedmoor, NC. To be considered for the Business Development Manager opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you: Bachelor's in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field 5+ years of sales experience in the aerospace/DOD industry Successful track record in sales techniques, relationship development and management As a Business Development Manager, you will: Develop profitable new business within the agreed strategy to meet or exceed targets Ensure that all product acquisition opportunities are optimized; creativity using the full resource of the firm as necessary Contribute to the license / product acquisition strategy to ensure focus and results Maintaining key account management (KAM) activities for our license partners Supports Mergers & Acquisitions and new license activities such as sourcing and developing relationships with targets, developing business cases and provide support executing and negotiating deal documents Ensure high levels of licensor satisfaction via regular and frequent liaison with all levels of personnel within the licensor's organization as well as within Ontic Provide total vision regarding business opportunities, threats, competitors etc Ensure specific intelligence is gained regarding licensor activities and intentions that might affect Ontic's prospects Optimize existing and projected technology for business development purposes by maintaining close liaison with the technical functions at Ontic and the market Understand the selection process for new products so that sales efforts can be efficient Develop and prepare business plans/cases in support of new business opportunities Prepares input to department budget/planning.
