Position Summary Join Fortune 6 CVS Health as a Senior Engineering Manager - Middleware Integrations within the Membership Domain organization. As a Senior Manager, you will successfully manage both full-time employees and contracted resources to help execute IT project work within the organization at CVS Health. You will ensure that project initiatives and guidelines meet both internal and client requirements and are delivered on-time and on budget with a concentration on middleware integrations. In this role, you will lead a cross functional engineering team in the various phases of the SDLC for a number of projects that will range in size and complexity. You will also be responsible for engaging with various software vendors that support a series of applications that are critical to the overall Specialty Application. The location for this position is flexible and can work from many CVS / Aetna offices around the US. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in IT 3+ years of management / technical advisory experience 4+ years of experience in at least one of the following areas: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, VMware ESXi and associated tools, IBM mainframe or midrange 2+ years of experience in at least half of the following areas: networking (routing, switching, firewalls, ADCs/LBs, DNS), database (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, MongoDB, Cosmos, Hadoop, Redis) and data management technologies, coding (Python, R, Java, Go, Node.js), deployment orchestration tooling (Ansible, Terraform, ARM, or similar), development frameworks (Spring, .NET, React, Angular), observability (metrics, events, logs, traces), integration layers (queues, event buses, streams, APIs), application migration to cloud or containers with high levels of resiliency and geographic resiliency 4+ years of experience with Agile methodologies Preferred Qualifications 6+ years of experience working in a regulated industry, including success in a technical management role in the healthcare. Flexible and creative with the ability to propose innovative ideas and collaborate with diverse teams to achieve positive outcomes. Experience with defining architecture using the C4 model or equivalent with a focus on system context, container, and component diagrams. Experience building large scale business applications using modern technologies and architecture. Expert understanding of architectural methodologies and the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns and best practices. Experience designing complex integrations with a focus on performance engineering and loose coupling using APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture. Education Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $130,295.00 - $260,590.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
