Senior Accountant

Vaco is working with an industry leading financial institution that is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their accounting and finance team because of growth.  Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of GAAP, experience with Fiserv Prologue and Premier Navigator, with at least 2 years of accounting experience. Any banking, regulatory, or SEC reporting experience would be a plus but not required. This will be a very hands-on role that will include extensive reconciliation prep, journal entry prep, and other general accounting duties as needed.  The person in this role will be the point contact for external and internal auditors, will help with the internal control program, and will prepare SEC and FDIC filings and reports.  There will also be time spent preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements, reviewing prepaids, accruals, and fixed assets, along with preparing board and management quarterly and monthly reports.  This is an outstanding opportunity to join a stable and established financial institution with a string balance sheet, string leadership team, and a plan to keep growing organically and through acquisitions. Base salary is in the 90k to 100k plus a host of other benefits and perks.
