This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Federal Programs Senior Human Health Risk Assessor with the potential to work out of Atlanta, GA; Kansas City, MO; Valhalla, NY; Morristown, NJ; Buffalo, NY or Boston MA. Be involved in projects with our Federal Programs Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges. The successful candidate will collaborate with our current team of risk assessment team members to support our growing risk assessment and toxicology practice in project planning and execution as well as public outreach and stakeholder communication. Risk assessments will be prepared to meet the requirements of the United States Environmental Protection Agency and many States' environmental regulatory programs. The position will involve coordination and implementation of project work associated with multimedia (air, water, and soil) risk assessments and environmental regulatory compliance in the industrial/commercial and government sectors as well as project management. Your Impact Direct and supervise technical assignments and manages entire projects or specific elements of projects; Perform as lead risk assessor authoring proposals and projects; Extensive client and regulator interaction, particularly with scoping of risk assessments and application of the risk assessment results and conclusions in site decision-making; Provide technical review for projects to comply with environmental regulations, company standards, contract requirements, and related specifications; and Occasionally travel for projects, conferences, business development, or training. Who You Are Required Qualifications B.S. in Toxicology, Biology, Public Health or related scientific discipline. 10+ years of relevant experience in conducting, authoring, directing, and performing technical review of multi-media human health risk assessments with increasing levels of project complexity and responsibility Extensive hands-on knowledge of human health risk assessment principles, procedures, and guidance particularly USEPA CERCLA Demonstrated successful interactions across a range of private sector and governmental clients Performance and technical review of multi-media baseline human health risk assessments for common and emerging contaminants Completion of projects through feasibility studies and Records of Decision (including identifying risk-based remedial goals) Extensive experience in scoping, managing, and conducting risk assessment components for each of the stages of the CERCLA process including: Development of work plans and QAPPs (including evaluating sampling strategies and appropriateness of data for risk assessment) Experience with risk communication with clients and stakeholders, and at conferences and professional organizations including presenting complex technical information in a concise and accurate manner Preferred Qualifications M.S. in Toxicology, Biology, Public Health or related scientific discipline. Experience with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. Compensation: Expected Salary (all locations): $102,200 - $173,140 WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
