As an exhibitions marketing and communications manager, you will collaborate with a social media strategist to design a content strategy that aligns with university-wide priorities and measurable outcomes. This role will allow you to oversee the strategy's development and production; communicate with supervisors and other departments about SCAD initiatives and events; and develop/assess content performance to create reports for campaigns, signature events, and priority initiatives. You will manage the content editorial calendar and create a relevant publishing schedule of high-quality, platform-specific organic and paid content to grow and maintain audiences on social media. You will be responsible for the management and optimization of comprehensive paid social media content across all major platforms for admission and university-specific initiatives. In this position, you will source user-generated content from SCAD community members for cross-promotional opportunities and co-lead communications with the admission team to develop university-wide marketing strategies. You will target, traffic, optimize, and report on the outcome of ad creatives and collaborate with community managers to ensure brand integrity and a positive image of the university. Your responsibilities will also include social media trend development tracking, conducting daily reviews of websites and social media channels, and delivering approvals to stakeholders for all exhibitions and event photography. You will deliver ad creatives for review and approval, manage a master social calendar for the exhibitions team to discuss and review biweekly, and develop content for the SCAD Museum of Art's quarterly newsletter. For all SCAD museums, the exhibitions marketing and communications manager oversees photo assets and the scheduling and confirmation of exhibition and exhibition-related special project documentation in coordination with the visual media team. You will respond to and return archive requests, deliver approvals for public relations (PR) asset requests, and review updates to museum websites to ensure accuracy. You will be responsible for the establishment of editorial and creative deadlines for exhibition programming and serve as a liaison between the exhibition and PR departments for photo and asset needs. The successful candidate must understand the vocabulary, culture, and technical qualities of various social media platforms and should display a desire to explore emerging technologies and trends. An in-depth knowledge of best writing practices for business correspondence, public relations, advertising, marketing and sales copy, and social media is necessary. The candidate must be comfortable disseminating information from external agencies to the social media team. They should have exceptional project management and problem-solving skills. They also should demonstrate an ability to think critically, maintain and meet deadlines, and set multitasking priorities. Additionally, the candidate must stay current in graphic design and user experience trends for social media marketing. Minimum Qualifications: Fluent in the vocabulary, culture, and technical qualities of social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tumblr) and a desire to explore emerging technologies and trends In-depth knowledge of best writing practices for business correspondence, public relations, advertising, marketing and sales copy, and social media Ability to effectively engage with team members of all levels and across multiple departments Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver's license Travel Required: 10-20% Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday.
