The Military Recruiting Programs Manager acts as the Program Manager leading the charge to convert US Foods from being Military Friendly to Military Ready. You will build partnerships with the United States Department of Defense (DOD) and Military bases with the goal of increasing our veteran hiring. The Military Recruiting Programs Manager will be responsible for building our military friendly programs and expanding our Hiring our Heroes and other programs along with creating innovative solutions to earn US Foods' recognition such as Vet Indexes and HireVets Medallions based on our investments in recruiting, employing, and retaining our nation's heroes. •Creates the veteran-friendly brand of US Foods as the liaison to internal business partners and external military organizations for all veteran programs and activities. •Develops and executes our enterprise military recruiting strategy, identifying key recruitment resources, and channeling talent into US Foods. Designs and drives the military recruitment strategy that allows US Foods to hire and develop top talent and build an infrastructure for succession planning. •Leverages and drives recruiting strategy through branding to include military content, branding, videos, and career sites. •Partners with Those Who Serve - Military Employee Resource Group at US Foods to increase awareness, participation, and membership of all service members, Veterans, family, and allies of the Armed Forces. •Manages relationships with veteran transition programs and support National Veteran/Military Partnerships with Community Relations. Engages as military program leader for Get Skills to Work coalition to bring veterans into the foodservice transportation and distribution industry. •Provides overarching national veteran recruiting support across all regions to support localized veteran hiring for all US Foods locations. •Provides training programs for hiring managers and recruiters to better acclimate them to military terminology and translate military assignments into understandable corporate language. •Provides input into the annual TA budget and ensures military budget can support ongoing demands from the business. •Ensures that the Company's recruiting processes meet OFCCP requirements. Works with Legal and Workforce Representation team to review processes and procedures for accurate record-keeping, including but not limited to applicant tracking and Good Faith Efforts (GFE). •Other duties as assigned by manager. RELATIONSHIPS •Internal: Partners with ELT, SLT and leaders across the entire organization when creating military programs to support business needs. Partners with Those Who Serve - Military Employee Resource Group •External: Partners with Department of Defense (DoD), Hiring our Heroes, Vet Indexes, HireVets , and other military resources as needed. Various governing agencies, vendors and candidates for employment WORK ENVIRONMENT •Remote with notable overnight travel. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS •Must have 7-10 years of Human Resources experience •Must have at least 5 years demonstrated experience developing and leading military recruitment strategy. •Armed Forces experience is desired. •Up to 50% overnight travel to military bases and military conferences across the country. EDUCATION •Minimum bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or other related field OR equivalent work experience, required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS •Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and possess a high level of interpersonal skills. •Attention to detail, analytic capability and a demonstrated proficiency in negotiations is required. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $85,000 and $140,000. This role will also receive annual incentive plan bonus.
