The ADAS Software and Feature Development Team designs and develops software, providing magical experiences with features like Blue Cruise, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Active Park Assist, and 360 Camera Systems. We are seeking a diligent, detail-driven professional to provide vital expertise in support of our Contextual awareness for lane and host vehicle related features. Responsibilities What you'll do... Design, develop, and integrate the embedded C++ software platform for adaptive feature applications in Ford's next-generation ADAS systems. Leverage object-oriented design techniques, the C++ Standard Template Library, design patterns, and other higher-level features of C++ to create robust, efficient, and reliable software. Showcase your coding skills by creating exceptional C++ demos and production software. Utilize expertise in Adaptive AUTOSAR to develop best-in-class embedded software update code. Apply your knowledge of communication techniques and protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, SPI, SOME/IP, and SOA Apply Functional Safety principles as it applies to Driver Assist Software and Platform Software Demonstrate commitment to quality by applying best practices to coding standards, static analysis, code coverage, code reviews. Support real-world testing of ADAS features, working closely with partner teams. Support the requirement, SW development and different levels of testing for the developed features. Flash, validate and debug your code in bench and HIL setups, and in pre-production and prototype vehicles. Highlight your technical leadership amongst a team of highly energized and collaborative peers in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications You'll have... Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience 2+ years of experience in software development using C++ (1 year of internship/co-op/coursework experience allowed) 2+ years of experience designing and testing systems for high performance, high reliability computing applications (1 year of internship/co-op/coursework experience allowed) 2+ years of experience developing on POSIX compliant operating systems, such as Linux (internship/co-op/coursework experience allowed) Ideally you'll have... Master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field of study 2+ years of ADAS/Autonomy software development experience with proven success in a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering team environment Expertise with Software development life cycle from Requirement gathering to feature level testing. Understanding of Adaptive AUTOSAR Experience working with Docker, CMake, Conan, Jenkins, and other build and development environment tools. Experience working with GTest, GMock, GCov, other automated testing tools. Expertise with established software design patterns, efficient data structures and multi-threaded system design Expertise in Adaptive AUTOSAR and/or working level experience with ETAS toolchain.
