JOB DESCRIPTION: As the Account Director you will serve as the team manager overseeing the direct response program for the client. You will be involved in leading all day-to-day activities, including strategic direction, creative and analytic guidance, to execute print and digital campaigns. Additionally, you co-lead internal training efforts to enhance the teams knowledge in direct response and fundraising. Responsibilities & Activities Develops creative and analytical strategies for the client's direct response program and provide direction to account leads. Reviews deliverables to ensure they meet client and agency expectations, maintaining standards for written copy and content. Analyzes complex metrics to understand program performance, identify opportunities and risks, and improve client revenue. Presents learnings and recommendations to the client, focusing on metrics such as gross revenue, expense, net revenue, response rate, and average gift. Contributes to the agency's proposal request team, completing assignments on time to ensure timely delivery of responses. Manages Account Executives to ensure program deliverables are achieved and provide consistent training focused on employee development. Leads internal training efforts to enhance teams knowledge in direct response and fundraising, coordinating necessary deliverables for training presentations. Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success. Leads strategic direction for the account and client while collaborating with team members and other department leads to accomplish the goals of the nonprofit. Oversees multiple programs for moderate sized nonprofit and up to two accounts for the agency. Leads team development and team work. Stays informed about industry standards, best practices, postal regulations, production processes and innovative products. Primary contact for client for all things strategic. Develops and maintains strong relationships with clients. Collaborates on presentations for both current and prospective clients. Upsells clients. Additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success. Education Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, or a closely related field. Work Experience Minimum of 3 years previous client service position at a direct response agency or supervisor in the development department of a nonprofit. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of direct marketing with a solid foundation in basic terms, technologies, and metrics used to create, manage, and evaluate marketing strategies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic digital marketing tools (WordPress, Google Analytics). Strong technical skills in using Microsoft and digital tools, project management software. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Expansive vocabulary and strong attention to detail for effective communication with clients and employees. Ability to analyze complex data and present it in an easy-to-understand manner. Capacity to balance multiple deliverables, and serve as the cohesive force within the account to meet deadlines. Ability to establish relationships and build trust with clients and team members.
