Job Description Room Attendants play a crucial role at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel as they are responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and overall presentation of guest rooms, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and providing exceptional service to hotel guests. The room attendant plays a crucial role in creating a positive and comfortable experience for guests during their stay. Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Housekeeping Managers, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service clean all assigned guestrooms including dusting, making beds, soiled linen removal from rooms, and retrieval of clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning and replenishing rooms with supplies Sign in and out master keys daily maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment update and record all cleaned rooms return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office Follow departments policies, procedures, and service standards report necessary maintenance items Follow all safety and sanitation policies Other duties as assigned Qualifications Your experience and skills include: Previous experience as a room attendant or in a similar housekeeping position is preferred. Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks. Knowledge of proper handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Open availability, 1PM to 9PM shift times. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings Must hold authorization to legally work in the USA Physical requirements include: This job requires constant standing, walking, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. Must be physically capable of performing duties which involve repetitive bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting of heavy objects.
