Overview Within the established investment policy guidelines for Commodities and Natural Resources Equities, the Portfolio Manager directs allocations and makes selections. Working alongside the Lead PM, the candidate will direct trades, invest client and fund assets, and oversee the investment strategy in the relevant portfolios, all while ensuring the portfolios adhere to governance guidelines and regulatory/legal restrictions. Role Details As a Portfolio Manager, you will: Construct portfolios of commodities and natural resources equities. Perform attribution and develop new strategies for commodity-related mandates. Perform fundamental analysis and develop company models for natural resources companies. Develop and execute commodities trade ideas via commodity-related derivatives, including index swaps, futures, and options for commodity futures. Clearly communicate investment thesis for commodities and equities to internal and external stakeholders as necessary. Enhance, adapt, and execute personal and team processes to maintain performance edge as markets evolve. Conduct company due diligence, build company financial and factor models, conduct research meetings, and participate in client meetings as required in support of asset management responsibilities. We are looking for: Roughly 2-5 years' experience required in portfolio management, trading or research in equities, fixed income, currency, or commodity markets with a demonstrated passion for investing. Experience in either buy-side or sell-side equity/high-yield research in natural resources highly preferred, and/or industry experience in natural resources sectors. While experience in agriculture, paper & forestry is preferred, it is not required. Advanced degrees such as MBA or related masters degrees, CFA progression or competition in CFA would be desirable but not necessary. Familiarity with and ability to apply statistical and other quantitative data analysis methodologies is desirable. Strong command of fundamental and economic analysis Well-versed in risk-management methodology and practices. The salary range for this position in New York is $142,000 to $240,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
