Job Purpose The Senior HR Manager will partner with business leaders to align talent strategies for the workforce located in Shelton, CT as well as the Commercial and Corporate functions. This role is responsible for leading and implementing HR practices that foster a high-performance culture, enhance employee engagement, and drive business success. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to management and will provide expert advice on talent management, employee relations, organizational design, and other HR functions. Key Responsibilities Strategic Partnership Serve as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and talent management. Coach managers on effective leadership practices, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development. Support leaders in developing their ability to lead teams, communicate and coach their teams to improve performance. Partner with leadership on organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption. Hiring and Talent Management Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, development, and retention efforts to ensure the business has the necessary talent to meet its objectives. Partner with leadership to identify high-potential employees and create development plans for succession planning. Facilitate effectiveness of the performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and performance improvement plans. Culture and Communications Coordinate internal communication efforts across the organization partnering with Marketing, site HR Managers and leadership to create and deliver key messages using a variety of channels based on audience. Positive Employee Relations Provide counsel on complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with company policies & labor laws. Mediate and resolve conflicts between individuals and teams fostering a positive workplace environment. Conduct investigations and recommend resolutions for employee issues, complaints, and grievances. HR Policy and Compliance Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, keeping the organization updated on changes in HR policies. Implement and monitor HR policies and procedures that promote a fair and equitable work environment. Data Analysis and Reporting : Use HR metrics to provide insights on workforce trends, employee engagement, and other key performance indicators. Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on HR-related data, including turnover rates, diversity, and engagement. Qualifications Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum of 5-7 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a strategic HRBP or similar role. Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and organizational development. Proven experience with talent management, employee relations, and change management. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making. Ability to travel - 25-30% Competencies: Strategic thinking and business acumen.
