Director of Accounting

Director of Accounting We have been engaged to recruit a Director of Accounting who will be responsible to manage and oversee the financial operations of our client company, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting. Requires a strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and best practices in financial management. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and providing strategic financial insights to guide our business decisions. Key Responsibilities : Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and tax filings Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial reports to management Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations Manage audits and liaise with external auditors Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets Assist in financial forecasting, cash flow management, and budgeting Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial goals Provide guidance on complex accounting issues and ensure adherence to GAAP Maintain accurate and current requirements for Lender Qualifications : Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CPA; experience in a corporate setting is preferred but not required Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software and financial management tools Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills This position offers an excellent salary with benefits.
