Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position: The Director, Human Resources plays an integral role in the organization by providing full range HR support to our manufacturing facility in Elk Grove Village, IL. In this role, you will be a true business partner in a growing company. Major Responsibilities : reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations headcount strategy for current and future business needs. Support the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of qualified applicants. Collaborate with hiring managers and department heads to understand skills and competencies required for job openings. Assist hiring managers with the effective use of selection criteria and onboarding tools. Develop and manage organizational programs relative to team member development, retention, performance management, onboarding, career development, and succession planning, to ensure a talent pipeline that will successfully enable current strategies and future growth. Support current and future business needs through employee development, engagement, and motivation. Build a culture that empowers all employees to bring their true and most productive selves to work. Embed diversity and inclusion in all people practices. Provide support and guidance to leadership and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive employee questions and issues arise, such as reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations. Nurture a positive working environment, ensuring we are retaining and engaging our employees. Identify, advocate for, and implement best practices across all areas of the business; simplify or reduce nonvalue-added processes. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance. Lead a team of HR professionals. Other duties as assigned. Salary Range: $165,000-$175,000 plus bonus Qualifications: *Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in human resources, or related field Minimum 8 years' experience in Human Resources experience in a Generalist capacity, preferably in a manufacturing environment PHR/SPHR Certification or SHRM certification, preferred. Successful Essential Skills Proven track of success in overall HR practices or generalist background Communication - Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Keep others well-informed, listen carefully to input and feedback. Maintain utmost confidentiality in handling sensitive company and employee information. Conflict resolution - Can find common ground and get cooperation with minimum noise. HR Expertise - always learning about the profession of HR and continuously keeping abreast of new trends, laws, and requirements. High level of business acumen: Understands policies, practices, technology, trends, and information and how those affect the business. Data accuracy - does work that is error free the first time. Verifies the work of others when data concerns employment actions. Relationship management - Can build strong relationships with employees and business leaders. Excellent problem-solving skills and uses rigorous logic and methods to solve problems producing effective solutions to problem statements. Excellent time management skills, concentrating effort on priorities and overall planning. Ability to initiate and complete multiple concurrent projects. Strong computer skills: i.e., HCM (UltiPro), Power Point, Excel, and Technical researching. Proficient in Microsoft Suite, and knowledge of payroll, and HRIS system.
