Description Citizens is seeking a Public Relations Manager to develop and execute a public relations strategy to solidify the bank's reputation, visibility, and engagement with an initial focus within Boston and the New England region. The successful candidate will work closely with local executives, internal stakeholders, and media outlets to ensure that the Citizens brand is well represented, building awareness, trust, and positive relationships with the public. This communications professional will bring a diverse set of experiences and possess the energy, drive, creativity and agility to operate within a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement regional public relations strategies that align with the company's business, communications, and marketing goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with local media, influencers, and community organizations. Serve as a communications and public relations expert for local executives, coordinating and overseeing media events, preparing speaking remarks, and sourcing public speaking opportunities. Work closely with Citizens' marketing, brand, and corporate affairs team to plan and execute local activations to drive visibility and engagement. Experience and Professional Qualifications The Regional Corporate Communications Manager will have 7+ years of progressively increasing experience planning and executing strategic communications programs. The ideal candidate will have a background in developing communications programs to further social impact strategies and will have experience managing corporate/nonprofit relationships and media event execution. This communications professional will be a high-energy, strategic thinker with exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and the ability to foster collaborative decision-making, and strong relationship building skills. Additional qualifications include: Hands-on experience managing proactive and integrated communication campaigns, with a reputation for integrity, transparency and follow-through. Strong public relations experience working for or with agencies and proactively pitching media stories to enhance company's reputation and perception amongst stakeholders. Strong experience in external, internal, and executive communications. Outstanding strategic, written and oral communication skills. Strong experience/knowledge of social impact programs and local nonprofits. Emotional Intelligence, including outstanding interpersonal, teamwork and organizational skills and a highly collaborative mindset. Experience integrating new technology and best practices to increase communications programs' impact and efficiency. Education: Bachelor's degree required.
