AAK Edison Edison, NJ About the role The Financial Analyst providestimely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of the company'sfinancials and its performance against historical results to facilitate decision-makingtoward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan. Responsibilities Assist with the business process and working with Finance and Business Managers to produce, review and analyze information. Monthly and quarterly reporting and KPI's production. Daily business modeling and financial analysis. Produce reports regarding monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance and production cost analysis Investigate and report to the Business Managers any inconsistencies or improprieties. Produce or collaborate on the necessary financial presentation materials for the managerial team meetings Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance as assigned by Management. Strong storytelling ability to craft a narrative around financial data that aligns with business goals, highlighting trends, opportunities, and risks in a clear and compelling way. Maintain and develop various financial models and standard templates distributed for use by all of Finance during the planning processes, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review. Support Financial Planning & Analysis(FP&A) of assigned business units by being first point of contact for issues and questions. Demonstrate appropriate understanding / working knowledge of general accounting principles and internal controls, and apply them. Demonstrate insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts, to provide practical counsel to business area partners and management in order to drive business results. Understand and facilitate the integration of business processes, people, and relevant technology, in order to identify, configure, and communicate useful information, and to provide practical business leadership to drive business decision making across the company. Identify non-value added processes within the department and seeks solutions. Provide information for internal and external audits. About you A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 5-8 years of financial analysis experience required. Advanced MS Excel skills Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint to design polished, professional, and visually cohesive presentations that visually convey financial narratives Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion is required Knowledge of procedural controls and data validation techniques required. Financial modeling expertise a plus. Professional with strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude. Independent worker and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems.
