Learn more here: LinkedIn- Our Community About the Job: The Senior Director, E-Commerce & Digital Merchandising will be a key leader who provides vision and an analytical mindset to define and drive the E-Commerce business for Pacsun. This role will report to the VP of Marketing and requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of e-commerce, digital marketing, and data driven decision making. This person will be responsible for the development and execution of ecommerce strategies and visual merchandising programs for the digital business that support the company's business objectives. Key responsibilities will include site merchandising, promotion execution, vendor management, AB testing/personalization strategy, dropship, social commerce, including management and oversight of TikTok shop, and Amazon. This person will also work closely with the Digital Marketing team to optimize acquisition and retention performance, identifying opportunities and delivering insights to drive growth and meet company goals. This person should already have strong experience and skills in leading E-Commerce teams through innovation, technology, merchandising, and digital marketing. The Senior Director, E-Commerce & Digital Merchandising will distribute weekly business recaps to the executive leadership team and cross-functional teams, including insights and action plans. The successful candidate will seamlessly integrate business objectives with innovative merchandising strategies to ensure cohesive and effective execution across all divisions. A day in the life, what you'll be doing: Develop and execute a holistic merchandising strategy aligned with business goals, focusing on optimizing product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies to drive online sales and profitability Utilize advanced analytics and performance metrics to assess and refine merchandising strategies, ensuring data-driven decisions that enhance the customer journey and increase conversion rates Oversee all aspects of site experience on , including site navigation, filters, categorization, merchandising and product sort, site search, brand launches, promotion execution and content strategy Partner with buying and planning teams to understand big seasonal ideas and visual product display to achieve financial targets Drive a multi-channel focus, presenting a unified, customer-centric view of our brand, consistent across the brick-and-mortar and digital spaces Collaborate with UX and Web Development on website features/enhancements and A/B tests to continually improve customer experience, engagement and conversion rate Continuously iterate on our A/B testing and personalization strategy to increase customer loyalty and drive conversion Oversee our growing dropship business and continue to identify new areas of opportunity Manage vendor contracts and establish strong relationships with vendor POCs Lead the social commerce business (TikTok Shop, Instagram Shopping, and YouTube Shopping) and accelerate our growth in brand presence, sales and affiliate network Scale our Amazon business in partnership with agency by identifying areas of opportunity Manage a team of 8 consisting of site merchandisers, copywriters and marketplace/dropship specialists Work closely with Digital Marketing team to analyze ad develop effective landing page strategies What it takes to Join: Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12+ years online e-commerce merchandising, marketing or operations and a Bachelor's degree, MBA or equivalent is a plus, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role A proven track record of building a successful E-commerce business in a complex environment Thorough knowledge of e-commerce and retail metrics, merchandising, direct marketing, and sales principles Must display and be able to lead through analysis, data-based decision making, data-based reporting, and communicating datasets and key findings Ability to work under pressure in an environment of constant change Ability to manage a diverse team and work cross functionally Experience in contract negotiation and vendor/partner management Experience in the apparel business is a plus Must have strong oral and written communication skills Excellent knowledge of Microsoft product suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and Google equivalents. Experience working in collaborative design software like Figma or similar Developing the Community/ Leadership Qualities: Operate with the highest level of conduct, integrity, and confidentiality; setting the example for leaders and associates. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
