The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in the overall store operations including hiring and supervision of staff, product, service quality, and financial health of the store. The Assistant Manager is accountable for assisting with achieving store profitability, sales growth, guest satisfaction and employee engagement measures. The purpose of this role is to prepare the incumbent for a General Manager in position 2 years or less. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assists with leading daily store operations in conjunction with the general manager, including supervision of store team members, taking, preparing, and delivering Guest orders, and cleaning and maintenance of store equipment and facilities. Responds to and effectively resolves Guest complaints. Effectively implements, maintains, and corrects (if necessary) processes and procedures to ensure operational excellence in Marco's Pizza 10 Operating Systems. Ensures food safety practices that comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Assists in meeting store weekly sales goals, service times, and Guest experience goals. Effectively leads Local Store Marketing strategies to build the Marco's brand and drive sales growth, under the direction of the General Manager. Reviews store Profit & Loss Statements, with the guidance of the General Manager, regularly and uses the data to implement sustainable EBITDA growth measures. Actively manages food cost through inventory control, completing regular inventory, and ordering of products and supplies, under the direction of the General Manager. Assists in managing labor costs through use of predictive labor scheduling for store team members. Strives to protect company assets to include cash and to maintain the restaurant environment ensuring Guest and team workplace safety. Assists in managing the Point of Sale system. Maintains current and accurate data in all corporate systems to include Point of Sale, Inventory IQ, Marco's University Online, and personnel data, with guidance from General Manager. Recruits and effectively interviews applicants to select only the best fit and qualified candidates. Trains and coaches store team members in all Marco's procedures to ensure product quality and a 5-Star Guest experience every time. Leads and models Marco's cultural beliefs creating Employer of Choice experiences to ensure team members feel valued, appreciated, and set up for success. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Required: 1 year of restaurant management experience with demonstrable success High School diploma or equivalent Must be at least 21 years of age Valid Driver's License Preferred: ServSafe certified Educated in Marco's Pizza system and Culture including 100% completion of Insider/Driver course, Marco's Leadership Track, Certified Trainer, and Local Store Marketing Marco's Franchising, LLC is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
