About the Role The Warehouse Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing all inventory, shipping, receiving, requisitioning, and issuing functions in a Thistle facility. The manager ensures compliance with established procedures and policies according to the company's high-quality standards. In collaboration with leadership, the manager coordinates communication across all departments and provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers. The manager is also responsible for timely, efficient, and quantitatively correct receiving and putaway transactions which impact the company's financial performance. How You'll Make a Difference Coordinate and manage all warehousing functions, including receiving, grading, putaway, replenishment, requisitioning, picking, kitting, staging, packing, and inventory management Create and maintain a working knowledge of current Standard Work, SOPs, digital tools, and processes Implement and champion new and existing process improvements across warehouse teams Support and help drive continuous improvement initiatives and projects across the plant Make sure that the warehouse is audit-ready at all times Coordinate and track the storage and timely delivery of perishable goods and materials to internal customers Engage in cross-functional collaboration to formulate and implement strategic initiatives that optimize warehouse operations and enhance overall efficiency Oversee the efficient loading and unloading of inbound and outbound freight vehicles while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all associated manifests and documentation Coordinate timely picking and delivery of materials to kitchen and production areas, adhering to operational schedules and quality standards Set and meet operational goals on safety, productivity, and quality-related areas Manage the processes, reports, trends, and issues and resolve gaps Support operational objectives to help cultivate a continuous process improvement environment by empowering and challenging employees (direct reports). Cultivate and lead a high-performance warehouse team, fostering a culture of excellence that embodies company values, drives continuous improvement, and consistently achieves operational targets Ensure compliance with GMP, PPE, food safety, and safety/OSHA regulations Maintain/process timecards and support performance reviews for hourly employees Schedule and oversee the warehouse team to meet the demands of the kitchen and production, and manage the flow and quality of work to reduce waste and maximize efficiency Identify training needs and areas for employee development and professional growth Serve as an example on the floor while fostering an environment that is focused on team spirit and collaboration Work to troubleshoot and resolve any challenges in real-time effectively and efficiently Work cross-functionally with Culinary, Production, Quality Assurance, Inventory Control, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure proper handoffs, QA, and other organizational standards Provide communication of real-time updates on necessary Slack channels Act as liaison and point of contact between leads, team members, and management team Who You Are High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business, management, operations, logistics, or related field preferred Possess extensive experience (5+ years) in advanced Warehouse Management Systems(WMS) implementation and optimization, coupled with a proven track record in quality management within logistics environments. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, coach, and empower employees to excel in task execution, collaboration, thinking outside the box, and problem-solving Strong communication skills that put people first and ability to balance empathy and direct feedback in order to both support and advocate for the team and also maintain consistent standards of performance Ability to form effective working relationships with a cross-functional team Excellent time management skills with the ability to pivot quickly and make adjustments to workloads to help ensure kitchen and production requirements are met on a consistent basis You bring your A-game every day and encourage your team to do the same Strong familiarity with warehouse equipment, usage, maintenance (basic), and safe operations Tech-savvy approach with everyday tasks and communication; comfortable with G-Suite(specifically Google Sheets)and Slack, a big plus Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, including 5-S, Root cause Analysis, and the five (5) Whys $83,000 - $100,000 a year The salary range for this role is $83,000 - $100,000 and represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range at the time of the posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location.
