DevOps Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Chicago, IL/ Chandler, AZ/ Kennesaw, GA (Hybrid) . They will be responsible for developing CI/CD pipelines to build cloud platforms and virtual machine images, as well as collaborating with technical product management to deliver the engineering roadmap in an Agile environment. Rate Range: $60/hour to $73/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. DevOps Engineer job responsibilities include: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the building and deployment of cloud platforms, virtual machine images, and containers. Develop provisioning automation for cloud services, incorporating IAM, network configurations, and security policies as code. Implement built-in resiliency and observability within infrastructure automation to support IaaS and PaaS services. Create and maintain a cloud services catalog for application developers and DevOps teams, ensuring streamlined access to necessary resources. Work closely with technical product management and operations teams to deliver engineering roadmaps within an Agile framework. Partner with Information Security teams to design and integrate secure application patterns into cloud platforms. Assist in translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, and deployment playbooks, ensuring compliance with architecture standards and policies. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Automation Engineer or in a similar DevOps role. Experience with cloud service providers, particularly Microsoft Azure; certifications are preferred. Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker) and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
