Position Highlights: Position: Data Scientist II Location: 4901 Searle Parkway, Skokie IL 60077 Full Time Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am- 4:30pm Hybrid Schedule Job Summary: As a Data Scientist II at Endeavor Health, you will be responsible for the development of methodologies and implementation of solutions for quantitative, predictive and prescriptive analytics for improving patient outcomes, increasing operational efficiency and providing general statistical support to the organization. Essential to this role are intellectual curiosity, effective communication skills, ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences, evaluate, adopt and master technical tools used in accomplishing the above-mentioned goals. You will be responsible for advancing innovation, conducting research and advocating for the adoption of cutting edge technologies. To be successful in this role, you will be expected to remain updated on the latest scientific methodologies, technologies and best practices. What you will do: Develop predictive models for making clinical and operational decisions Document and support your work to the highest possible standards Design and provide statistical support for clinical studies Write and submit refereed scientific papers Help organizational leaders with hypotheses testing and action planning using data visualizations Develop novel tools incorporating actionable models and guide point-of-care operational decisions Develop expertise in data manipulation, prediction, and visualization Choose the most appropriate analytical techniques for the business challenge at hand Work with IT and data warehouse experts to design and develop end-to-end analytics product What you will need: Education: Master's Degree Preferred Education: Ph.D. Degree Experience: minimum one (1) year of professional experience preferred Unique or Preferred Skills: Strong intellectual curiosity Advanced degree in statistics, applied mathematics, predictive analytics, computer science, operations research or related quantitative discipline Typically, 1 - 3 years of work experience, including full model life cycle development Demonstrated proficiency with data science tools and programming languages (e.g., R, Python) Familiarity with database management tools (e.g., SQL) Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to make decisions and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Proven track record of driving insightful findings from quantitative and qualitative data Familiarity with the healthcare industry is a plus Benefits: Career Pathways to Promote Professional Growth and Development Various Medical, Dental, Pet and Vision options Tuition Reimbursement Free Parking Wellness Program Savings Plan Health Savings Account Options Retirement Options with Company Match Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay Community Involvement Opportunities Endeavor Health is a fully integrated healthcare delivery system committed to providing access to quality, vibrant, community-connected care, serving an area of more than 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties.
