Janitor - Public Areas

Description This janitorial position is responsible for providing and maintaining an exceptionally clean and neat hotel including common areas, restrooms, employee areas, and onsite restaurant. This position also requires interacting with hotel guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner to support our mission of providing outstanding and personalized guest service. We have an opening for full-time person on 3rd shift (11p - 7a) and a part-time person on 2nd shift. Position duties include: Clean and maintain public areas in the hotel and restaurant to the highest standards of cleanliness and condition to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests. Clean and wipe windows, sills, doors, walls and fixtures in rooms, hallways, and corridors. Remove trash from public areas, locker rooms, meeting rooms and offices. Follow daily job checklist. Replace paper toweling, soap and other amenities in pool area and public bathrooms. Wash/mop hard floor areas. Position requirements: Knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment Ability to work flexible hours/shifts in the evening and at night. Weekdays and weekends are required. Ability to scrub and scour surfaces (extending arms overhead, bending and stooping) Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 pounds Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to read, write and speak English adequately to communicate with guest and hotel staff Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and coworkers The Oshkosh Waterfront Hotel is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
