In the role of Director of Green and Blue Infrastructure, you'll be at the forefront of pioneering, overseeing, and broadening the firm's commitment to protecting, restoring, and managing our water resources by employing green and blue technologies. Your portfolio will encompass a diverse range of projects, including sustainable best management practices (BMPs), FEMA floodplain assessments and improvements, the design of green infrastructure retrofits, executing green and complete streets initiatives, conducting hydraulic and hydrology studies, formulating ODNR dam planning, modeling, and emergency action strategies, Green Infrastructure operation and maintenance, ensuring regulatory adherence, and leading watershed management studies. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing Environmental Design Group's reputation in the sustainable stormwater domain. This entails devising and executing the group's strategic business plan, nurturing a positive workplace culture, and facilitating every team member's professional growth and development. As the Director of Green and Blue Infrastructure at Environmental Design Group, you will: Ensure assigned projects are completed within budget and schedule while meeting client needs, business objectives, and design guidelines. Establish and oversee the implementation of technical protocols. Support associate training and professional development opportunities. Ensure technical production complies with applicable laws and standards. Provide QA/QC oversight for project deliverables. Manage employee resources to serve the needs of the Service Group, including hiring. Manage the service group's financials, develop and grow top-line revenue and financial targets, and develop and manage financial model for staffing and resources. Guide the development and implementation of the group's business plans; translate overall business strategies to functional area strategies and tactics; successfully convey the organizational mission, vision, values, and strategy company-wide. Identify project risks and monitor/mitigate risk throughout the project lifecycle. Author and implement business development strategies, including client relationship development, client pursuits, new introductions, and revenue procurement for the Group. Build and Elevate the Environmental Design Group brand for your Service Group and across all Service Groups in the organization. Attend networking events, trade shows, and technical conferences for business development purposes. Carry out any other responsibilities as assigned for the organization's best interest. Requirements Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, landscape architecture, or related field. A master's degree is preferred. 10-15+ years of industry experience is preferred. 7+ years of experience in a supervisory role is preferred. Certifications: PE, RLA, PS, AICP, or other relevant certification Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Excellent analytical and creative thinking abilities are required. Excellent leadership and organizational skills in a team-oriented environment are required. Excellent presentation skills are required. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time regular position. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel is primarily local during the business day. If necessary to drive for a company purpose, you must have a valid driver's license and possess a driving record that will enable the employee to be insurable under the Company's standard vehicle insurance and general comprehensive liability insurance without additional costs to the Company.
