Yorktel is currently seeking an Acquisitions Analyst who will work as part of the FP&A team to evaluate, structure, and assist with executing potential acquisition transactions. This analyst will be engaged with a wide range of activities including partnering with Yorktel's various business units to provide analytical support on potential deals and evaluate the efficacy of past deals. The FP&A team collaborates closely with Yorktel's Executive Leadership Team. In this role, you will forecast the economic impact of capital allocation decisions and prepare valuation analyses using primary Yorktel information and market data from various sources to support recommendations to our Executive Leadership Team. The Acquisitions Analyst will also be involved with a broad range of non-transaction activities relating to financial analyses supporting strategic projects. This position requires building a comprehensive understanding of the business processes of the company working closely with the organization to close any gaps. Roles & Responsibilities: Executing Transactions: support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation etc. and liaising with relevant counterparts at the client/other advisers (accounting, legal, etc.) Collaborate with Yorktel business unit and corporate services teams Building and using complex financial models, completing valuation and analytical exercises Maintain forecasts regarding potential transactions with a focus on bookings, profitability, cash flow, and EBITDA on a regular and ad-hoc basis. Drafting clear, concise presentation materials including management presentations, Board materials, and other reports for use in acquisition transactions or strategic client dialogue Keeping abreast of key market developments and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics Provide pro forma financial and operational analysis as needed by management and key stakeholders. Create efficiencies and automation, through the use of software and tools where available, with forecast items. Skills & Abilities: Proficiency in Excel modeling (including forecast development and valuations) and PowerPoint. Exceptional verbal/written communication and presentation skills. Ability to apply valuation techniques and concepts. Ability to work effectively across functional teams and levels of seniority to refine strategic recommendations and build consensus. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and work unsupervised in the absence of clear guidelines Ability to grasp a clear understanding of the businesses needs and processes and offer innovative solutions Prior experience or knowledge of the managed services, or audio/video collaborations sectors is a plus. Proficiency in Workday Adaptive Planning software is a plus Education & Experience: 4+ years of experience in relevant roles, such as Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Management Consulting, Private Equity, or Venture Capital. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Analytics, Accounting, or similar discipline preferred.
