I. SUMMARY Strata is searching for a Computer Vision Engineer to join our engineering team. Strata's proximity detection and collision avoidance product line has recently expanded to include AI based vision systems for mobile and fixed position applications - our HazardAI product line. This individual will primarily be responsible for the machine learning pipeline used to train models in the HazardAI product line. You will be a core part of a small team working on this next generation of products! III. QUALIFICATIONS The qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this position. Education and/or Experience •Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline including coursework and/or working knowledge of mathematics and statistics applicable for object detection and location •3+ years of professional experience in computer science or related field B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities •Solid background in training computer vision AI models •Expertise working on Linux platforms and strong coding skills in Python and C •Familiarity with variety of CV algorithms (e.g. OpenCV) •C++ coding skills preferred •AWS experience preferred C. Go Above and Beyond •Experience working with NVIDIA Jetson devices •Prior experience with CUDA and Pytorch/TensorFlow •Industry experience training and deploying models in the field •Previous stereo vision experience •Publications at relevant industry conferences (ex: CVPR, ICML, etc.) IV. WORKING CONDITIONS A. Location Canonsburg, PA B. Travel Requirements The incumbent will be required to travel a maximum of 10% of the time. Trips will likely require overnight stay away from home for one or more nights. C. Physical Demands This position requires the ability to perform general physical exertions, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting materials or equipment. D. Work Environment The facility is a common office environment adjacent to warehouse space also used for product testing. Office hours are Monday through Friday with core business hours from 10 AM to 4 PM (flexible start and end times) although the candidate will be working with a globally diverse team and will be required to accommodate business hours in other time zones on an as-needed basis. This is an Exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay.
