What You'll do: Groundswell is seeking an experienced Software Engineer who is excited by the challenge to design and build systems for world leading scale. The distributed engineering teams build global standardized technologies for containers, cloud agnostic K8s operators, controller methodologies for application lifecycle management, service mesh, side cars, configuration management, and more. The ideal candidate has a keen interest in improving operational efficiency and works with a demeanor that everything can be automated. Work with the following cloud-native tech stack: Kubernetes, Ruby/Groovy, Jenkins, Java, Scala, Python, Golang, Javascript, C#, Typescript or React, and more. Work with multi-functional teams to develop separate elements of a software that work well in the program as a whole. Work within and contribute to an Agile team with a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate and communicate your ideas and code to team members and other stakeholders. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline with a minimum of 4-years of relevant experience or a Master's with 2 years. Demonstrated software development expertise in one or more of the following domains: high availability architecture, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, Kubernetes (custom, EKS, GKE), CI/CD pipielines and GitOps (Jenkins, Argo), and Service Mesh (Istio, Envoy). Expertise in one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Scala, Python, GoLang, Javascript, C#, Typescript or React Strong understanding of modern Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with multi-functional teams. Generate clear and maintainable documentation for each updated area of the application as a reference for future development efforts. Must be a US Citizen May require occasional travel (up to 5%) Preferred Qualifications: Expertise with Kubernetes, AWS architecture and development, and Linux Operating system and network. Experience handling and solving distributed systems in a public cloud. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
