GENERAL FUNCTION The Manager - Pricing is the primary financial resource for business development activities, focused on new business acquisition and retention of existing clients. This role plays a key role in supporting internal stakeholders - Sales and Account Management, Product, Marketing, Provider Relations, and Operations (Implementation + Plan Setup). Supports the Pricing department's strategic initiatives and research & development of advanced pricing methodologies. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manages assigned Pricing segment, handling the end-to-end process of new business acquisition pricing and proforma evaluation of client accounts. Documents deals and conducts post-closure analysis of significant accounts when required. Ensures the timely completion of all financial analysis related to EyeMed's financial pricing, presents clear and concise conclusions appropriate for executive review. Collaborates with Sales and Account Management to adequately identify risks and opportunities to their current financial forecasts / plans. Serves as the primary point of contact for the EyeMed's Sales and Account Managers in the assigned segment and provides excellent support to these teams by providing guidance and insight with client financial analysis. Provides financial support for Business Development activities focused on acquisition of new clients and provides direction and support for significant strategic product development activities. Supports Pricing team in working on regular new business and retention reporting, as well as developing new ad hoc solutions to support the team as needed. Support EyeMed Finance in other necessary financial analyses BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent work experience 5+ years of analytical experience, focused on underwriting, pricing or financial modeling Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Strong written & verbal communication skills Solid grasp and knowledge of the principles of finance to apply to business problems Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to respond resourcefully to change and ambiguity PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent technical field Actuarial Certification or in Actuarial track 2+ years of recent experience working with executive Leadership esp. Finance, Product Development, Account Management and Sales Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
