Job Description Electrical Engineer, Revit/Construction - Direct Hire - MI Troy, Michigan Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering + 3yrs experience working with Revit software + 3-5yrs previous experience with an engineering firm (architectural or electrical contracting company) + ability to travel 10-20% to job sites Negotiable Salary (sponsorship not available) Submit resume via #jobs #bkoutlooks Job Responsibilities: Provide engineering expertise and support to estimating, project management, and customers per project. Provide support and expertise to other members of the engineering team such as the VDC Engineers. Position reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering. Design and coordinate all power and lighting distribution systems meeting project specifications under the guidance of a Professional Engineer (PE) on staff Manage and schedule 3D modelers/2D Drafters (VDC/BIM modelers) Review, edit and write project specifications under the guidance of a PE on staff Generate and/or review production submittals against project specifications under the guidance of a PE on staff Assist in the estimating process for Electrical contractors by attending jobsite walk throughs, defining scope, and generating bill of materials Complete other tasks and duties as assigned by management Job Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering required 3-5yrs previous experience with an engineering firm (architectural or electrical contracting company) 3yrs experience with Revit software Proven experience with reviewing, editing, and writing project specifications required Experience with generating and/or reviewing production submittals against project specifications required Experience with walk throughs, defining scope and generating bill of materials required Must be self-directed Must also be able to manage others and possess strong communication skills Ability to work cohesively with other departments within the company Strong organizational skills: ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and follow projects to completion Strong problem-solving skills required Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to jobsites in multiple states
