THE ROLE Avocado is currently looking for a Learning and Development Manager to be part of the People and Development team. You will be reporting to the SVP of People and Development. The Learning and Development Manager designs and implements training programs to enhance employee skills and support business objectives. They work closely with both operational and customer facing teams to identify training needs and create strategic development plans, including online and in-person learning. The role involves evaluating the effectiveness of these programs and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organization. *Note on Location: Here at Avocado Green Brands, we treasure teamwork and working together in person. This is a hybrid role,you will work on-site regularly in our Fullerton, CA location. *Note on Pay Transparency: The anticipated salary range for this role is$90,000 - $112,500 annually. WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON Oversight of L&D programs - own and drive program design, implementation, impact measurement and sustainability, including continuous improvement when needed. Training program design: Ability to create programs tailored to business needs. Leadership and team management: Strong leadership capabilities to guide and inspire employees. Project management: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple training projects. Instructional design and curriculum development: Skilled in adult learning theories and methodologies, including ADDIE or similar models. Data analysis and evaluation: Ability to assess training effectiveness through metrics, feedback, and performance indicators. Stakeholder management: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with senior leadership and employees. Change management: Experience in supporting organizational change through employee learning initiatives. Technical proficiency: Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), HR software, and e-learning tools. Presentation and facilitation skills: Ability to conduct engaging and impactful training sessions. Problem-solving and innovation: Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions for learning challenges. WHAT YOU BRING Minimum of 5 years in an Learning & Development field. Experienced LMS administrator. Extensive experience with Brainer preferred. Strong emotional intelligence to understand employee needs. High degree of adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment. Passion for continuous learning and development, both personally and organizationally. Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally. Regular and predictable attendance. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Stationary position: Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time. Move: Moves throughout the office space or warehouse area to communicate with different team members. Operate: Constantly operates a computer and other office machines such as printers and tablets. Communicate: This role frequently communicates with other team members to update on the status of a task.
