It is the cornerstone for all that we do here at Wyld. -Make a Mark -We Blaze Our Own Trail -Brand First -We Mean Business Summary The Director of Operational Excellence will drive continuous improvement programs while supporting the Wyld brand, culture, and quality. The Director analyzes, evaluates, and presents information relating to production capabilities, manufacturing problems, economic trends, and design and development of new products or services for consideration by other members of the management team. In addition, they are responsible for ensuring these improvements are developed, prioritized, and in conjunction with the operation team. They will establish implementation schedules and manage the cost effectiveness of projects. They will also oversee the development and implementation of a standardized audit/observation program. By instilling trust, actively leading, and thinking strategically, the Director of Operational Excellence will build an effective team that is resilient and able to rebound in response to changing priorities. Through creative problem solving, skillful communication, and systemic thinking they will manage the complexity of driving the vision, purpose, and results for the Operational Excellence team Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Oversee and lead departmental strategy and implementation Creates future improvement roadmaps with clear executable plans that are in line with the business strategies and improvement needs Prioritize the Operational Excellence team's organizational improvement activities Aid in the creation of budgets and cost guidelines for projects Oversee the Operational Excellence team timelines, expenditures, and results ensuring effective and efficient implementation of improvement activities Create, implement, and maintain a multi-department corporate audit structure Communicate effectively with the Chief Operating Officer on project challenges, progress, and any approvals needed Identify, define, and solve immediate, and long-term business problems Oversee departmental leadership and staff Clearly communicate with department leaders, ensuring strategic information is funneled to the appropriate team members Perform department leadership's employee performance reviews, ensure employee reviews and feedback are provided for entire department Responsible for overseeing the hiring and terminating Provide coaching to department to ensure all staff have the resources necessary to perform their duties correctly Create and implement succession plans for the next generation of leadership Stay up to date on current advancements and trends in operations, automation technology, and strategic implementation Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 3+ years of experience in operational leadership role with a heavy focus on leading strategy and teams across wide geographical areas and building infrastructure to scale Previous experience working within a in structured corporate continuous improvement model Demonstrated experience as a cultural change agent Hands on experience using modern Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methods (LEAN, TPM, Kanban, TPI, A3,5S Six Sigma etc.) preferred Certified Lean Manager preferred. Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and presentation skills Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking to processes to develop, recommend and implement strategies and programs that address company objectives Strong interpersonal skills and ability to professionally interact with managers, staff and officers at all levels of the organization with diplomacy and professionalism Not afraid to take ownership; demonstrates a growth mindset Effectively communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company Possess advanced mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division Perform advanced visual quality inspections on products State regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or older Will be required to submit to a background check Must obtain all state required: permits, licenses, certifications Travel between sites will be required Benefits As an exempt employee , you'll receive a competitive salary wage of $135,000-195,000/yr paid biweekly, 11 paid holidays, unlimited PTO, 401K, and fully paid health, dental and vision insurance.
