Job Description JOB SUMMARY: The Pickling & Coating Production Manager is responsible for providing direction and overseeing the smooth operation of the Pickling and Coating Processes and personnel that work within this area. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: •Perform daily, weekly, and monthly facility checks. •Storing and stacking materials according to company standards. •Operate and tend machines to wash and remove impurities from the wire rod. •Wire coils per work instruction; transport coils, follow the Production Order to the production line (Coil Identification, Coil#, Steel Grade, Steel Size, Weight). •Responsible for adding specific amounts of chemicals to equipment at required times to maintain solution-level concentrations. •Drain, clean, and additionally refill the machine or tank at designated intervals using cleaning solutions or water. •Drawing samples for laboratory analysis. •Observe machine operations, gauges, and thermometers and adjust controls to maintain specified conditions. •Test solutions for conformance to specifications, like acidity or specific gravity. •Set controls to regulate the temperature length of cycles and start conveyors, pumps, agitators, and other machines. •Record gauge readings, materials used, processing times, and test results in production logs. •Adjust clean and lubricate mechanical parts or machines parts or machines using tools and grease guns. •Must be skilled in reading measuring instruments, (micrometer, Vernier calipers, etc.). •Packaging of product. •Other duties as instructed by Supervisor. Qualifications •Bachelor Degree in Engineering or closely related field. •2 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing setting or similar heavy industry. •Forklift and Overhead Crane •Positive attitude, exemplary attendance, and reliable team member.
