Position Title: Plumber Location: St. Charles, MO Position Summary: We are seeking an Experienced Plumber with a versatile skill set to join our team in the manufacture and construction of unique products including custom displays, trailers, and vehicles. The ideal candidate will utilize their plumbing expertise alongside mechanical skills to contribute to the creation of high-quality, custom-designed products. A strong emphasis on workplace safety and attention to detail is crucial to excel in this role. Primary Responsibilities: Utilize plumbing skills to install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial kitchens. Use skills such as welding, fabrication, carpentry, and/or electrical to assist in the construction of custom displays, trailers, and vehicles. Understand and implement project build plans and/or blueprints. Collaborate with Engineering and other Production personnel to understand project specifications and timelines. Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems. Maintain accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used. Adheres to departmental quality standards. Maintains a tidy work environment with focus on workplace safety. Assist coworkers with assigned work duties, when needed. Required Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years' of proven experience as a plumber. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices. Familiar with PVC, CPV, PEX, black pipe, and copper. Must be safety conscious with good housekeeping skills. Must possess following skill sets: Mechanical Aptitude Read and understand engineering drawings Read tape measure Use air and electric hand tools Ability to solve simple issues and learn the job quickly. Strong attention to detail and precision. Must effectively communicate and present interpretations of work. Maintain a positive attitude towards team members and other departments. Displays initiative to learn and to take on more responsibilities. Ability to work successfully within a team and as an individual contributor. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities. Preferred Skills: 2 + years' plumbing experience in a manufacturing or construction environment. Certification or License as a plumber. Experience with soda fountain heads and commercial ice makers. Physical Requirements: Physically able to stand up 8+ hours per day. Must have the ability to hear and respond to auditory signals, distinguish tones and pitches in equipment, and use hearing protection during specific tasks. Physically able to move and transport up to 75 lbs. Ability to ascend/descend on a ladder, climb in/out of trailers and work atop scaffolding. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, balance, and reach overhead. Ability to bend, grip and move fingers/hands.
