Job Description Role Summary We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Sr Coordinator, Photography Operations to support our Director of Photography in managing the day-to-day operations of our photography team. This role involves overseeing production timelines, managing photographer contracts and invoicing, and maintaining the operational budget. The Sr Coordinator, Photography Operations will brief photographers on project expectations, style guides, and metadata requirements, and work closely with the Director of Photography and photographers to develop creative briefs based on input from various departments. Additionally, they will be responsible for managing contracts and usage reporting for external content providers. In this role, you will... Assist the Director of Photography with daily team management, ensuring that production timelines are met and needs communicated across the photo team Handle all photographer contracts and invoicing for wholly owned photo shoots, ensuring accuracy and maintaining the operational budget Brief photographers before shoots, ensuring they understand the expectations, style guide, metadata requirements, and other essential details Collaborate with photographers and the Director of Photography to generate creative briefs for shoots, incorporating input from Editorial, Design, and other relevant departments Manage and maintain contracts and usage reporting for external content providers ensuring compliance and proper documentation Provide general administrative support to the Director of Photography and the photography team to ensure smooth operations and successful project execution The ideal candidate: Proven experience (4+ years) as a photo editor or production coordinator 2-3 years of experience managing a team of junior operators or staff Has strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Demonstrates excellent attention to detail, particularly in managing contracts, invoices, and budgets Possesses strong communication skills and can effectively brief and collaborate with photographers and internal teams Is proactive and solution-oriented, able to assist with daily team management and troubleshoot issues as they arise Has a basic understanding or interest in the photography industry, with experience in the field being a strong plus Is comfortable managing contracts and reports related to external content usage, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legal requirements The salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation.
