What we offer: Competitive salary and employee benefit package Strong learning culture Growth perspectives 6% 401K match 20 days of PTO and 2 Floating Days Paid parental leave An opportunity to love what you do The Crime Underwriter will work closely with the Underwriting team to analyze risk, exposure, loss and coverage information for group and individual risk accounts, and structure and price programs that are financially efficient for the insured and profitable for the company. The Crime Underwriter will also work closely with the Underwriting team to manage existing broker and client relationships. Tokio Marine HCC - D&O, a member of the Tokio Marine group of companies, provides specialized insurance products. The Crime Underwriter is required to evaluate new and renewal policy applications and related documentation to classify and assess risks, communicate and build relationships with brokers and other outside contacts, and create and maintain all underwriting documentation according to procedures and other departmental guidelines. PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES: Gain understanding of the underwriting process: During the first 30 days learn how to evaluate the unique risks of Crime/Bond, review submissions and ask a lot of questions throughout the process. During the first 60 days and beyond show critical thinking skills by finding solutions to write the business and satisfy both the client and the risk-taker. Review and Quote less complicated risks: During the first 90 days, be able to quote easier risks, with little oversight needed. Understand more complex risks: During the first 6 months begin to understand more complex risks. EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION: A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
