Healthcare Risk Advisors is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a hybrid opportunity (2 days a week) based out of our office in New York City. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent. 1+ year experience in accounting or administration. Advanced Microsoft Office Skills including Excel. Strong analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage workflow and to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy. Responsibilities: Accounts Payable; Concur, EAS Efficiently process and reconcile invoices through the Concur and EAS systems, ensuring accuracy and timely payment within the required deadlines. Maintain up-to-date vendor records, resolving discrepancies with vendors or internal departments to ensure smooth accounts payable operations. Financial Analysis & Reporting Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with company goals. Identify trends, variances, and areas for financial improvement in collaboration with senior accountants, contributing to data-driven decision-making. Internal Audit Support internal audit activities by preparing accurate financial documentation and assisting with compliance checks. Ensure adherence to internal control policies and assist in identifying areas for process improvement based on audit findings. Client Service/Support Provide prompt and professional assistance to internal and external clients regarding financial inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction. Proactively communicate with clients to resolve any financial discrepancies or billing issues. Technical Knowledge & Professional Development Continuously develop professional skills by participating in training, staying current with accounting software updates, and attending relevant workshops or seminars. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, accounting regulations, and financial best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance the quality of work. Other Duties as Assigned Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability by effectively managing additional responsibilities as required, maintaining a high standard of performance across all tasks. Salary Range: $58,757 - $72,582 Compensation varies based on skills, knowledge, and education.
