PHS administers WholeYouNYC (WYNYC), a coordinated community resource network that builds trustworthy and reliable pathways between healthcare providers, health plans and CBOs providing critical resources in the community that address the social drivers of health. WYNYC brings together over 100 organizations offering various programs - such as food, housing, employment, health insurance, and sexual health services - across all five boroughs. These services and programs make it possible for New Yorkers to live their healthiest lives and ultimately reduce health disparities and advance health equity. To date, our network has already impacted thousands of lives through community partnerships and referrals, generating millions in estimated healthcare savings. New York State (NYS) recently announced the availability of $500M statewide to support Social Care Network (SCN) lead entities responsible for coordinating social care delivery in various regions across the state. Public Health Solutions (PHS) and our WYNYC network were awarded the role of regional SCN for Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens. This is a grant-funded position ending March 31, 2027. Position Summary: Under the direction of the WYNYC Director of Restricted Funds, the Senior Restricted Funds Accountant review annual program budgets, prepare periodic fiscal reports, draw down requests and monthly grant reports. Review and approve vouchers for allocability, allowability and consistency to agency budget. Monitor and review payroll charges to ensure compliance to Time and Effort requirements. Process monthly G/L production, prepare journal entries, and conduct ad hoc account analyses. Monitor spending and encumbrance progress against budget and prepare regular budget modifications. Prepare management reports and fiscal analyses as required. Compute and drawdown monthly overhead allowances. Provide other duties as assigned. Specifically, the Senior Accountant is responsible for: Developing and reviewing annual program budgets, prepare periodic fiscal reports, draw down requests and grant reports. Review and approve vouchers and purchase orders. Monitoring and review payroll charges. Handling monthly G/L production, prepare journal entries, and conduct ad hoc account analyses. Monitoring spending and encumbrance progress against budget and prepare regular budget modifications. Prepare management reports and fiscal analyses as required. Computing and draw down monthly overhead allowances. Providing other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements: Degree - B.S. or B.A. in accounting and/ or equivalent. Years of Experience - 5 or more in grant accounting. Knowledgeable in financial management of Federal, state and city grants. Skills - Must have the highest degree of proficiency in Excel, must know major non-profit accounting system, must have superior organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills. Experience in monitoring gov grants and be familiar with city, state, and OMB guidelines. Salary: $105,000- $105,000. Desired Skills: Problem solver, innovative thinker.
