High Structural Erectors is searching for a Business Development Representative to join their team! High Structural Erectors offers field Installation services in support of High affiliates construction projects as well as for infrastructure, commercial, institutional, and industrial customers. The company specializes in the installation of structural bridge steel and precast concrete, architectural precast, and cladding. Services include crane operations, site logistics, bridge steel rehabilitation, heat straightening of damaged girders, concrete repair, and emergency repairs. Our business requires an experienced Business Development Representative who is responsible for work acquisition. The primary responsibility of this individual is to find new sales leads through existing company contacts, business media, available company resources, programs, systems, referrals and networking. Occasionally, this individual may be required to assist in the estimating of related and 3rd Party work. This individual must have the ability to engage and build relationships; understand and work with the customer to find what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND/OR EDUCATION: A.S. or B.S Degree Five (5) years Sales or Business Development experience. Experience in Precast and / or Bridge related projects, goods and services would be considered a plus. Customer Relationship Management and Software use ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Business Development: Responsible for brand awareness and developing relations with the Engineering / GC / CM community. Work Acquisition: Responsible for sales work acquisition in business territory. Sales volume by dollar and margin quotas. Meet contract sales goals for the year at prices and margins established by management. Customer Orientation: Business strategy that focuses on helping the customer meet their needs and wants. Customer Engagement: Responsible to engage customers and maintain relationships with new and existing customers and contacts: customers, construction managers, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, trade associations, etc. Proposal of Sale (Hard Bid): Prepare and send Proposals of Sale to Customers. Maintain record and files in network database. Proposals include certain criteria Sales Representative is responsible for, based upon successful preparation and collaboration with/from supporting departments, coworkers and management approval: - Price - Schedule - Scope of Work - Specific Qualifications and Exclusions - Company terms and conditions Customer Interface during Hard Bid/Estimate: Business Development Representative is the main point of contact with Customer during bid and estimating period. Business Development Representative is responsible to obtain all documents, information, updates, schedule, addenda, bid forms, etc. Business Development Representative is responsible to obtain all information for bid and cost estimates in a timely manner. Bid Forms: If Bid Form in Customer format required, Business Development Representative is responsible for execution and submission. If Bid Bond required, Business Development Representative is responsible to acquire and obtain. Pre-Bid Meetings & Site Visits/Walk Throughs: Business Development Representative is required to attend all mandatory meetings and site walk throughs. Business Development Representative should bring along Field Operations Manager, Superintendent or General Manager where necessary. Project Site Logistics: Business Development Representative is required to obtain and understand all site logistics and requirements for Hard Bid Proposals. Budgets: Business Development Representative is responsible to provide Order of Magnitude Budget pricing for Customers. Business Development Representative is responsible for take-off, budget estimate, margin and pricing. Review and Approval by General Manger prior to any submission to Customer. Product Knowledge: Business Development Representative is responsible to understand and have general knowledge of all goods and services offered by Company. Business Development Representative must have ability to translate technical jargon for the average Customer or Contact. Contract of Sale: Business Development Representative is responsible for job booking, Customer Authorizations to proceed, and Contract of Sale. Business Development Representative must obtain all required Contract Documents. Business Development Representative is responsible for entire Contract Scope of Work verification. Business Development Representative must have general understanding of Company terms and conditions and risk assessments and have ability to communicate to Customers in a general sense. Negotiation, agreement and finalization of Contract terms and conditions will be conducted and supported by Management. Customer De-Scope Meetings: Business Development Representative is required to attend and make all company representations to and for Customer at Pre and Post Award De-Scope Meetings. Trade Industry Associations & Representation: Business Development Representative is required to support Company endeavors and initiatives with Trade Associations.
