Job Family : Risk & Regulatory Compliance Consulting Travel Required : Up to 10% Clearance Required : Active Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI) Future opportunities will be potentially available for Consultants, Senior Consultants, Managing Consultants, and Associate Directors. This requisition has been posted for the purpose of pipelining building relationships with qualified candidates in order to potentially hire them into existing and future openings within FFI Advisory. We are currently proactively gathering and engaging candidates of interest and will then be able to match them with positions that become available in the future. What You Will Do : Conduct cryptocurrency tracing using a variety of blockchain tools (e.g. Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, CipherTrace, Elementus, etc.) to evaluate transaction data and unravel interconnections between wallets and real-world identities. Support investigations by identifying flow of funds, unique transaction patterns, interrelationships between transfers, and ultimately links between individuals and digital assets. Assist in the preparation and administration of training for clients that will increase awareness of digital asset use for illicit purposes as well as ensure a baseline understanding of crypto crimes and associated red flags. Assist senior staff develop relationships with current clients. Prepare client communications, both written and oral, for senior level review. What You Will Need : An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET/SCI federal security clearance. Bachelor's degree. ONE (1) or more years of relevant experience in cybercrime and/or cryptocurrency. Deep experience conducting cryptocurrency tracing using blockchain tools to de-anonymize blockchain addresses, uncover interconnected wallets, and unmask real-world identities. Deep experience leveraging open-source research, social media networks, commercial databases, government databases, and intelligence products to identify entities/individuals, peel back layers of beneficial ownership, conduct network identification, support asset tracing, etc. Ability to work full time (five days a week) at the client site in Washington, D.C. What Would Be Nice To Have : Cryptocurrency Certifications. CFE, CPA, and/or CAMS certification. Experience conducting cryptocurrency tracing described above on behalf of law enforcement for purposes of cryptocurrency address attribution, identification of criminals, cluster analyses of unspent transaction output (UTXO), and/or location of virtual assets for seizure. Experience identifying more advanced obfuscation techniques, such as mixing services, peel chains, cross-chain swapping, etc. Experience writing or reviewing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and/or data sourced from databases such as the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC). Experience with the law enforcement investigative lifecycle and/or leveraging subpoena power in the context of cryptocurrency investigations. Experience with data visualization / visual mapping tools for efficient recognition of patterns. Experience leveraging metadata and Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for GEOINT. The annual salary range for this position is $71,800.00-$107,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
