Position Summary This position is responsible to support the maintenance organization with planning and scheduling. The position also properly maintains equipment records, work order logs, registries and inventory. Ensures outside contracted resources are properly certified and or trained prior to carrying out work inside the terminals. Coordinates daily activities to meet daily/weekly schedule. Develops the overall maintenance schedule and takes into account the long-term operational asset availability requirement outlook and uses that in the mid-term and short-term maintenance schedules. Works well with the asset demands of Operations, Customer Service, Engineering and Maintenance and can interface with project managers, third party contractors to clarify scope of work, level of schedule detail, coordinate activities and provide technical evaluation according to contractual requirements to effectively plan and manage project work. Analyses root cause of equipment failures and defects to prepare work packages with detailed information and scope of work for planning, execution and maintenance turnaround. Identifies if inspection reports must be delivered before project closure. Organizes and arranges all required means to execute work and ensures jobsites are prepared for work and all conditions have been fulfilled to establish the first possible schedule. Submits purchase requisitions with cost estimates to procure resources and materials with existing vendors. Understands and identifies opportunities to improve individual equipment repair costs, decrease downtime, and optimize efficiency. Maintains current work order log summary in maintenance database. Tracks and evaluates man hours spent versus estimates. Maintains equipment history files and PM inspection documents. Reviews maintenance reports, and determines if follow up actions are needed and has them validated. Participates in daily / weekly meetings and table top exercises. Trains regularly on all federal, state, and local environmental regulations and follows and adheres to all guidelines, regulations and requirements. Functions as a maintenance team member and participates in call out intervals. Identifies opportunities and recommends assets that require preventative maintenance. Participates and successfully completes Safety and Job training classes. Performs other duties assigned by management that fall within the generally expected scope of this position.
