The primary duty of the Director of Development at Nevins Inc. is to build and execute the development and growth plan. This role will work closely with the Executive Director to formulate and approve a growth plan and then drive the execution of the plan including growth of service offerings via relationship management, partnership development, and direct sales of applicable services; researching, writing, and reporting of income from foundations, corporations and government entities through grants or donations; and supporting donor outreach initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with Executive Director to develop and implement Nevins' annual fundraising plan which includes but is not limited to tours, philanthropy events, capital/endowment campaigns, memorial/honorary giving programs, planned giving, grant writing, speaker's bureaus, solicitation and management of volunteers, marketing and special events. Strong emphasis on public relations work is required. Develop and maintain key relationships for business development and business partnerships. Cultivate supported employment groups and individual job placements within the community for opportunities related to the mission of Nevins, Inc. Must work closely with the Director of Clinical Services to match business opportunities with job candidates served by Nevins Inc. Create and manage detailed, accurate, donor and prospect records for financial reporting and solicitor report purposes including ability to create and present relevant reports for the Executive Director and Board of Directors, and grantors. Submit annually to the NC Secretary of State the charitable solicitation license for Nevins, Inc. Develop and recruit volunteers to support the operational work of Nevins, Inc. Create and disseminate all marketing materials which includes but is not limited to brochures, handouts, internal/external newsletters, branded Nevins Inc. products, and all other necessary collateral materials. Manage television and print inquiries in collaboration with the Executive Director. Increase donor base and maintain donor software system. Serve as a member of the Nevins Inc. management team. Additional duties as requested by the Executive Director. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field required. 3-5 years of business development experience. Experience in the following areas: relationship management, direct sales, marketing and capital campaigns, special events planning, donor relations, grant writing, and fund development strategies. Demonstrated excellence in time management. Exceptional communication skills both oral and written. Experience working in non-profit environments with an emphasis on human services industry. Seeks self-starting, driven, and autonomously guided individuals. Salary Range: 50k to 54K
