The Finance Manager plays a primary role in several critical business areas and works closely with both the CFO and Controller. This position manages the Sage (Mateo) investment portfolio platform that services the chancery, the Diocese of Jefferson City Fund and 92 independent Catholic entities and parishes. It includes cash flow management at the diocesan level as well as related annual financial audit responsibilities. This position also manages the diocesan loan portfolio. Significant duties include: * Preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual and ad hoc financial analysis * Assist in the development and preparation of quarterly internal management reports and financial statements * Advice on financial implications of strategic and operational plans * Coordinate with the CFO & Controller on diocesan budget issues * Manages portions of the annual financial audit process * Coordinate with Controller to develop and maintain internal controls, policies and procedures * Assist CFO with risk management reviews * Administer the P & C insurance requirements for the chancery and parishes * Management of all Chancery and Fund investment and bank accounts * Generate cash flow reporting for all HQ funding sources * Maintain internal investment account schedules * Engage with external trust managers and investment advisors * Manage Sage accounting and investment system and databases. Analyze data and systems for accuracy. * Assist CFO with board meeting requirements and presentations * Conduct training for team members as needed * Represent the Finance & Accounting department in place of, or at the request of, the CFO at various forums, functions and events * Other duties may be assigned Requirements * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university majoring in Business, Finance, or Accounting * Minimum of seven (7) years of job-related experienced preferred * 501(c)(3) Fund accounting experience preferred * Public accounting experience helpful, but not required * Strong computer skills and ability to work in Sage, MS Excel and MS Word
