Accounting Policy Analyst

Overview: Location: Hybrid - Downtown Pittsburgh, PA - 2 days remote Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card The A.C. Coy Company has an immediate opening for an Accounting Policy Analyst. Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a technical accounting role, experience searching and evaluating accounting policies, and experience with SEC reporting requirements. Responsibilities: Assist with establishing accounting policies and transaction interpretations including researching, interpreting, and applying new GAAP rules Prepare technical accounting journal entries Assist with preparing financial statements including footnotes and MD&A Conduct monthly account reconciliations including SEC filings Assist with preparing SEC reporting Support testing internal controls over financial reporting Support compliance with risk management requirements and best practices over data governance Qualifications: Education Required Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field CPA preferred Experience Required 3+ years of experience in a technical accounting role Demonstrated experience researching and evaluating accounting policies and transactions Knowledge of SEC reporting requirements Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with Workiva Wdesk platform is a plus Experience working in Financial Services industry is a plus
