Quality Manager WEISS North America, Inc Willoughby, OH (Cleveland, OH) Salary/Exempt Job Description The Quality Manager is responsible for the quality program for all products processed at WEISS NA and directly oversees the quality output of production at WEISS NA. This position will establish and implement the quality standards for products and services. As the company grows, the position will have the potential to oversee and manager members of the quality department. This position reports directly to the General Manager. Benefits Full-time position Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance on the 31st day of employment 401K eligibility begins after the 60th day of employment Pay is bi-weekly Generous PTO policy Pay Range: $55,000-$75,000 Job Responsibilities Advanced quality planning for the entire value chain Develop the quality and test plans to verify and safeguard the products and processes Plan and coordinate the annual audit program Carry out internal system and process audits Assess maturity and create regular status reports Analyze and optimize weak points in manufacturing and assembly processes Inform managers about quality related data and coordinate quality improvement measures Act as the contact person for customers in all quality matters Select and further develop measurement methods, as well as optimization of measurement strategies. Review and evaluate continuously the further development of the quality management system Coordinate, consult and train employees in all matters of quality management and Quality tools Oversee the preparation, updating and further development of the QM standard documents (WMS) Inform managers about quality related data and coordinate quality improvement measures Ensure QM evidence documentation (record keeping) Participate in the evaluation of audit results and customer surveys Prepare the annual management review Support the purchasing department in the qualification and monitoring of suppliers Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed Desired Skills & Experience Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related studies required Advanced training as quality manager preferred Minimum of 5 years of management experience in quality management Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in engineering, production, or quality assurance department(s) Confident personality with a can-do attitude and hands on approach is a must. Experience in project and series business, in the application of preventive quality management tools Experience with coordinating measuring machines & Polyworks inspection software Knowledge of the Lean system principles and methods Knowledge of methods, such as 8D reports, statistical principles, SPC, FMEA, etc. Experience with CAQ tool (Babtec) is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Share Point, Outlook, etc.); experience with ERP programs (Microsoft Navision Preferred) Ability to lead, train, and mentor employees Auditor training is a plus Strong desire to work with a fast-growing, high-tech leader in the field of factory automation equipment.
