Job Title: School Operations Manager Department: Operations FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt Reports to: Director of Operations Compensation: $68,034 - $71,435/year Company Overview: Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School is a leader in Chinese Immersion education, achieving high levels of academic and organizational success. Position Overview: The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency of the school across two campuses, managing and implementing projects and ensuring seamless functioning of all school operations. This position will work closely with the Director of Operations to develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives to improve the overall logistical operations of the school. You will drive Yu Ying's mission, vision and team's success by: Assisting with the creation and maintenance of proper school wide operational procedures Overseeing the school-wide ordering processes and inventory management Monitoring compliance systems and processes Key Responsibilities: Coordinate many aspects of school operations, including, owning and managing the schoolwide ordering process, transportation, vendor/contractor relationships, safety and fiscal management. Create and maintain an inventory and management system for purchasing school-wide orders, supplies, materials, furniture and equipment. Ensure approved supplies, materials, furniture and equipment are processed, delivered and reconciled effectively and efficiently. Monitor compliance systems and databases to update and notify the appropriate team members both internally and externally of compliance requirements, dates, etc. in an effort to make sure Yu Ying is compliant in all operational areas. Attend all regular and special safety meetings and serve as a thought-partner on the school safety team to assist with policies and implementation that support a safe learning environment for staff, students and our community. Assist in the writing, delivering and managing of operations facing standard operating procedures to keep them up-to-date. Support with arrival and dismissal planning and procedures across two campuses. Communicate with staff and community members to facilitate, plan and schedule school event space requests. Analyze and interpret data to identify opportunities of improvement and refine systems to streamline operational efficiency. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role required. Minimum of 2 years of experience with purchasing, vendor management and negotiations required. Strong ability to communicate, both written and verbally, excellent inter/intrapersonal, and organization skills.
